    Zombies killed the Radio star

over the past week I've managed to watch a two err well zombie movies set In talk radio stations.

First one was Dead Air http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0993841/

Terrorist plant virus bombs in major city's, people turn into........well this is the problem I'm not sure whether they are zombies or infected like 28 weeks later, don't think the movie makers knew either lol.

Plus points though is that it stars the lovely Patricia Tallman (Night remake)

Plot is funny how the main terrorist ends up in the said talk radio stations and howone of the radio staion guys rides through LA being chased by the infected, looked like an insane benny hill episode.

    4/10

Now the second Movie I saw was Pontypool http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1226681/

Again not really a zombie movie, got to admit the infected look like zombies, but this movie intrigued me, the plot is that small town in Canada where the population start to go mad and talking in insane ways, now this is the good part the virus is spread not by bites or blood but by certain words in the English language.

It's all set In the talk radio station and most of the deaths and carnage happened off screen and is only heard through people ringing the talk show, but dont let that put you off, I really like this film well acted and make you think.

    8/10

Have you guys seen these films yet?

Pontypool sounds awesome by how you described it. I think I'm gonna give it a go!

Yeah I watched Dead Air, thinking it was Pontypol, I was wrong, but not entirely disappointed. I liked Dead Air. Pretty decent little movie with some good ideas that they just couldn't quite flesh all the way out.

Been looking forward to seeing Dead Air for awhile. Pontypool just sounded a tad too weird for me...

I discovered Pontypool the other day. Sounds like a good story line. The plague supposedly resulting from word of mouth or something. I may check it out.
But what the heck does pontypool mean?

Dead Air wasn't horrible. It had some moments but nothing that pushed it over the top. I enjoyed the communication between the DJ and his surviving listeners...that was a good idea.

Pontypool was an awesome movie, I thought. Had some very unsettling moments. (The way the horde all mimics each other with words was eerie, and seeing people turn into zombies was very creepy.) Definitely a cool movie with a cool twist on the zombie plague. Great acting, too.

Dead Air I saw a year or so after Pontypool. It wasn't bad. It had both Johnny and Barbara from the '90 NOTLD remake, which was kind of a cool throwback. I liked the idea the plague was spread as a terrorist weapon, distributed through the air ducts in a highly populated place. Not as good as Pontypool, but it was definitely more action packed.
