TWILIGHT - Just so we can rip it to shreds with the wifey present. Somehow, I don't think that's going to fly - especially if I ever wanna get laid again in the future. We'll have to do that one on our own, but geez man, that might be more torture than watching Halloween again! Here's some of my suggestions, many of which echo yours, but here we go: Survival Land Diary Tremors (EXCELLENT suggestion, as was Bubba Ho-Tep!) Nightmare on Elm Street (the original) Mega Shark VS. Giant Octopus (this would be fun!) Friday the 13th parts 1-4 Aliens (got that one right this time for ya, Bassman. ) Blair Witch (this is so in desperate need of a hammering) House on Haunted Hill (the '99 remake) The Fog Silent Hill Seven (WHAT'S IN THE BOX?!) The Devil's Rejects (not really horror, but I'm always up for watching TDR) I would've put Paranormal Activity on that list, but I could never sit through that again either, but boy would I like to give my thoughts on that one. There's a few of my suggestions.. I have more, but this is more than we can handle anyway.

If you're not into it, no biggie, its not like we expected the support of every member. It's just something for those of us who debate what makes a film good or bad.

So it's not just movies you hate anymore? I thought the point was doing a bitch list commentary? You guys change direction more than a fart in a tornado. So it's fan commentaries which are love and hate lists? I've unleashed a monster... I think the primary factor for choosing a flick should be either: * For a hate-filled commentary, it has to be funny for those that dig the flick too, and injected with a tongue-in-cheek flavour. * For a love-filled commentary, it has to be like a raucus party where you impersonate famous lines of dialogue (Tremors would be perfect for this, not only is the movie fuckin' awesome, but it's jam-packed with superb dialogue ... indeed I re-watched it recently and considered doing a YouTube video of all the best lines, or at least a blog post), and just generally pop a boner over how kick ass the flick is.

MZ... The commentary will be based on the chosen film. If it is LAND for example it will be a straight out bitch fest. If it is Tremors then it will most likely be a love fill commentary. There will really never be a moment where a film will go 50/50. Hence the poll. Depending on what wins... will determine the commentary. Most of the stuff on the list will be a bitch list, there are maybe a few that films I enjoy on that list, but if Survival or Land wins the poll... you can guarantee it will be a 90 minute bitch fest.

Whats the point of commentary to films you like? I thought the whole point of this thing was to rag on films you dislike. Not too interested in hearing a "good" commentary from someone that had nothing to do with the film...

Well then go vote for a film. I see your point though bassman. It is kind of dumb, but then again... Tremors is such a fun flick and I would have blast doing a fan commentary, but Land and Survival would just be so much fun to rip to shreds. Ah, the shear enjoyment I will have to rip either of those apart.

This is why we're letting people vote, and we'll keep taking votes 'till May 6th, because on the 7th or 8th is when we'll sit down to do this. If you wanna hear us rip on a film, you know - based on what we discuss around here - which are the ones we'll tear limb from limb. Pick one of those.

I think a Tremors commentary would be good - a raucus, fun-filled fan commentary - so that it's like watching the movie with your own buddies with a few brews, you know? A love commentary has to be for a movie such as Tremors - packed full of quotes and general awesomeness that can be riffed on, rather than your average run-of-the-mill movie that you dig but don't have much to talk about. It's all taken on a life of it's own.

Most likely would be from just me alone MZ. I just love that movie to death. Fred Ward and Kevin Bacon just work so well off each other. In fact the whole cast was just perfect for that film.

Ok... I am a bit out of it this morning. However, i didn't want to comment on Lou's emotions for the film. He may not love it or enjoy it as much as I do. Lately I am not trying to speak for other people, although I may know their tastes... it seems people get upset when you include them in a statement or belief they may not share.
