    Jackboots on Whitehall

Just saw this online - looks promising; like Team America crossed with Inglorious Basterds:

There's some news about this on Twitch Film:

    Those aren't real problems, Sam.

Well, this movie has now been released with mixed but mostly good reviews, yet I can't find a single cinema showing it anywhere! What gives??

It probably is a well limited release. I doubt it'll be shown in many cinemas.

It's the sort of thing I'd see on DVD/Sky Movies anyway, personally. I will definitely watch it some time though. Hopefully it works a hell of a lot better than that other 'British WW2 satire' known as *sigh* Churchill: The Hollywood Years ... ... good god that film was abominable. It just represents how exactly to not make a British film, and indeed some of what's wrong with the UK film industry. Really, truly ... it was painful.

Methinks Jackboots on Whitehall is going to easily be better, and I ruddy well hope so too.

Yeah, its got mostly good or above average reviews that I've read so it deserves some success, the makers obviously put a shedload of time into making it. I've looked further & theres only 4 cinemas showing it by the looks of things, none of which are "oop north", so I'll just have to wait for the DVD, hopefully it will sell well so the makers get some return on their efforts!
