My wife. Why do you think I married her?

I understand where you're coming from, though. The films are pretty shitty. I just deal with them for what they are. Teen and female entertainment.

Hey....at least these films have got some good looking women I can stare at when i'm forced to watch them!

Eh, Jim often comes across as an absolute jack-ass in responding to people (some would say the same about me too ). I don't think it's intentional though. He's passionate with what he's passionate about and he always seems to make some good points/posts. He does, occasionally, also add quite a bit to the conversation by pointing out some fascinating thoughts into it that others haven't thought about. Like all the rest of us that are human here (everyone except Terran) -- Jim is human. Cut the guy a little bit of slack as I don't think he's intentionally trying to come across as an ass to people.

I agree. While Dubs is quite brusque, he's undoubtedly genuine, is passionate about Romero's works & the genre and has done a ton for the wider community. He's also done some real classy & kind things, as far as I'm concerned.

And I say this despite my being, by implication of many of the things he posts, some sort of backwards-evolving troglodyte

Perhaps, with the exception of our zombie flicks aren't made to cater to the lowest common denominator of tweens.

Oh, snap! Bassman pulled a Starling, Lou returns with a Lechter!

    You see a lot, Doctor.
But are you strong enough to point that high-powered perception at yourself?

Dude, I'll agree that Dawn 04 was better in some respects than Land...and I realize you hate Land, but it was hardly made for teens. Now, Dawn 04 is a teen-oriented film, 4reals!

No fucking way... DAWN 04 was more adult oriented than LAND. Land had Big Daddy Jar Jar... If that doesn't scream stupidty tween writing I dunno what does?

the uk premier was just on the news.

one bloke in a sea of screaming girls from tweens to midlife crisis.

    that guy is incredibly suspicious.

Dawn 04 has more of that run-of-the-mill "go, go, go!" teenager feeling. And a "cool" soundtrack.

I don't consider those nor Land (:finger: for that one, Dj.. ) geared toward tweens anywhere NEAR as much as Twilight is.

C'mon, ya'll are reaching now, and very, very far. Even including Big Daddy Dj..

    My opinion...

LAND of the DEAD is the Twilight of Zombie films.

An ill-conceived, poorly written and implemented character hardly makes Land a teen-oriented film, in and of itself. Dawn 04 had very little internal plot consistency, expected the watcher to not be bothered by the individuals joking about and acting like stock, every day characters in the midst of a world-ending scenario, crappy youth-oriented music, hot young plastic actors and actresses and all the requisite tropes of a Fridaynight teen horror film.

If you can't recognize this fact, then I'll have to let Bassman and MZ loose on you with their rubber hoses.

Eh, that's harsh, Gary, in comparing "Twilight" to "Land of the Dead". "Twilight", as God-awful as it is, deserves a little more credit than comparing it to "Land" -- that's just harsh dude.
