Gotcha. I was confused scratching my head like: "Huh?" for a second...

but that regularly happens, so no big deal there.

I agree 100% and so apparently did George Romero. He lasted nearly 10 years prior to being sucked back in.

Also add Phantasm to the short list. Like Romero, Coscarelli lasted nearly 10 years prior to being sucked back in.

I'd say I enjoyed Phantasm 2 more than the original.

I wanted to like that movie and love most of Bruce's work but I couldn't get into it. The idea of nursing home horror is untapped but I'm not sure if it worked.

I loved Bubba Ho-tep. I could list a shit-ton of reasons why it's a killer good movie. It is so much more than a typical Bruce movie. And I'm not thinking with sand here either.

Don't make me use my stuff on ya baby.

There are more quotable lines in that film than any other I can think of.

Speaking of Ho-Tep, there's a chance it may fit in with the topic of this thread. Bubba Nosferatu is supposedly going to film soon. But this time Ron Perlman is filling the shoes of Elvis/Haff. Think it will turn out to be one of these franchises that didn't need a sequel?

I heard from a friend who does the geekdom tour circuit and caught Bruce live at one of the events that the Bubba Ho-tep sequel was a joke played on the fans. But I don't discount the possibility that his saying it was a joke was in fact the real joke on my buddy. Or that my buddy was playing a joke on me by saying it was said. Or saying it was said as a joke. On me. So, long story short, I'm adding no information at all except to say that I'll believe Bubba Nosferatu when it shows in my local theater.

The movie is incredibly quotable. I'm not sure if it's Holy Grail quotable, but it sure has some good ones. Where it shines is that the quotes are so close to making sense, but don't, and absolutely no one gets them.

Quiet, you fool! You're going to give away Romero's reason for Diary and Survival.
