As for the Transformers series....I wanted to hate on it at first, but i've come around to it. It's just a mindless fun time. And Optimus Prime is a BAD ASS hero of the series. Something about Cullen's voice work gets me pumped. I don't really understand what people are wanting out of this series. It's about a bunch of big fucking robots fighting each other. And based on a toy line. You looking for something other than cool action and spectacle in something with that premise? Sometimes I think audiences are just too damn jaded these days. That's a pretty reasonable take on the film and reasonable expectations, I think. That said, the 2nd film really did pale in comparison to the 1st (for me a great deal) and though I'll probably give the 3rd a try, I really hope they do a notch up from their last effort.

i'm just not a big fan of transformers, that shia kid and the "no, no, no, no, no, NO!!" bit he's always doing, shaky-cam, michael bay, or dumb summer blockbusters....put them all together = ghey....

I thought the first one was alright... Not seen the second one... I don't think it's as bad as some people make it out to be. It may not be on the exact same level as the first, but it's pretty close. I actually thought the comedy was much better in TF2. It's worth at least one viewing, just don't expect the greatest film ever. Understand that it's just fun before you see it and you should have..well....fun. As with all Bay films, it's definitely got some great visual treats and action. People can hate on Bay all they want, but the man knows action.
