Staying pretty strong this season. Wonder if they'll break the premiere record with the mid-season finale. They always seem to do huge jumps on the first or last episodes of runs, and outdo themselves. By this rate, when its time for Season 78 they'll have 14.26 TRILLION cumulative views. (If they count virtual reality network, that is)

10.42 million for 307 "When the Dead Come Knocking". Next week's mid season finale should probably be the highest ratings for the entire show so far....

Great news yet again. 15.86m cumulative.
What do we reckon for the mid season finale 1st showing figures? 11m?

I'm going to be bold and say in the region of 11.5 to 12 million (say 16 to 16.5 cumulative) - hopefully the trend of premieres/finales out-performing their predecessors contintues. Eventually there'll have to be a ceiling, but hopefully we've got a bit to go before that.

Heres something to consider. This show would be renewed on AMC with its 2nd broadcast figures alone and possibly the 3rd. Thats some crazy thoughts.

You mean for the 2nd and 3rd episodes from season one?

No. The reruns on the night. TWD drew 3.2m viewers for the 2nd viewing of the episode that just aired. Compare this to the premiere of season 5 of Mad Men which had its largest audience ever of 3.5m.
    Crazy.

    Crazy.
    Blimey!

Well, I think TWD is safe for a good long while then - provided they keep up the quality, of course.

As a side note, I love Mad Men (got into it earlier this year and barged all five seasons over several weeks), and Breaking Bad likewise (another barged marathon over the summer).

However, The Walking Dead is my #1 AMC show ... in fact The Walking Dead is it as far as I'm concerned. I watch a bunch of shows, and love many of them, but TWD is an obsession.

10.5 Million for Episode 308 premiere. 15.2 Million for the night.

After last night's episode, TWD is the first cable show in television history to be the biggest show of the fall season....

    Amazing.

My prediction was a bit out then, oh well, but the news about it being the biggest show of the "fall season" is fantastic.

I do think that 3x09 will break 11m though (3x01 got 10.9m IIRC).

    Cracking numbers, top news!

So even when the Walking Dead isn't breaking it's own record of viewers, it's breaking some other records instead. Excellent.

Excellent! What was the last ratings high for the show?

My prediction for 3x08 was off, there was a slight dip for that episode, but my prediction of "over 11 million" for 3x09 has been totally blitzed.

I see it was 16.6 million viewers in total for the night.
