And now for something completely different....

Hello all, it's been quite some time since I've ventured into these parts of the internet woods, but it's nice to see many familiar names still frequenting the place. As for my absence I guess it could really be chalked up to life sucking in every way possible at every chance it gets. As I recall I really fell behind on my work for grad school and that forced me away from the site for a while, then things just kind of got worse from there.

My grandfather and my father both passed away at Christmas last year (in less than 24 hours of each other actually) and since then it's been dealing with that and grad school and my job sucking about ounce of energy I have in me on a daily basis. But as things are wrapping up for the semester I'm hoping to take it easy for a few months and get a little reacquainted with some things I use to do.

So with all that said, hello all once again and I look forward to some fun discussions in the future.

Sorry about the hard times. Welcome back.

And did you know you once started a thread with the exact same title? Except....about Python, of course.

Bassman, great to see you here as always. And yes, I am aware I started a thread with the same title....now. Anyways a good Python reference can never really go out of style.

welcome back to the fold, man. my condolences on your losses, that must've been pretty brutal.

good luck with grad school. i've only got about 3 weeks of my 4 year degree left, then i'm taking a year to decompress, make some money, and unwind before i attempt to continue my education.

Welcome back & sorry to hear about all the bad stuff. Accept on my behalf some good stuff, which always makes me feel better:

    Not necessarily in that order.

Now how's THAT for something completely different!
