Editor and After Effects Artist needed for short film

    Hi Guys,

I'm need of an editor and after affects help for a very cool PSA short film. The idea of this project is to provide a good message “Don’t do Drugs” targeting teens with using zombies. We shot the film with a Canon fx 300 (mxf format). I wrote the script with Rob Fox (author of “Z Day is Here” which is being made into a movie in preproduction in Texas and “Ace the Zombie” in postproduction, trailer can be seen here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PxFei...layer_embedded.

My vision is that we will have two versions of the film; one for film festivals (longer) and the other (1-2 minutes) for a PSA that could be shown at to teens at schools and churches. I have a music composer in Arizona who has written 3 songs for the movie and I should receive the finished songs in the next 2 to 3 weeks. Here’s a link for one of the songs which will be played while Jake is studying and takes the “stuff” that triggers the hallucination. He has another song written from the POV of Jake as he thinks he is slaying zombies and saving his friends; he is currently auditioning vocalist.

This is a link of the scene (raw footage) we shot of Jake in the hospital when he finds out he killed his friends and not zombies. I have a few CU’s and cut-ins to include with this scene. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OsO3biyBaEc

No deadline, but I would like to enter this in 2012 film festival circuit. I will provide the shots in order and weed out the bad takes.

I cannot offer pay but I will promote your service on our facebook page, upcoming website (should be live by oct 1), screen credit, and you and team will be invited to our Wrap/viewing party at competition. On a side note this will introduce you to local indie filmmakers in the Atlanta area which may give you future “paid” work.

I've posted some pictures on this post, http://forum.homepageofthedead.com/showthread.php?19129-Principal-photography-starts-Friday-night!

    Storyline:
The film is about a sleep-deprived, over-caffeinated, high school student pulling his third all-nighter for the next day’s S.A.T. While under the influence of pills (meth) and caffeinated drinks he drives to a party; Zombie chaos occurs—he slays zombies, he hears the siren of police cars, what is he to do; is it real or is it a drug induced hallucination?

I'm a professional TV editor with a massive skillset in after effects....shame that firsty I'm in the UK, and secondly i'm not really buying into your anti-drugs message.

I didn't think Meth was a hallucinogen - and to my knowledge it's not at all, it's an amphetamine, so I find your message misleading. Couple that with the fact that even with hallucinogens, I've never ever heard of someone confusing a party with a zombie outbreak and going all shotgun crazy on people, except episode 5 of Spaced - which could be where your idea came from - if not...then yeah, it's already been done my friend - you're kinda making something serious out of something that was meant to be a joke.

    Good luck with your film.
Innocent victims of merciless crimes, fall prey to some madman's impulsive designs.

Step after step we try controlling our fate. When we finally start living, it's become too late.
