    Recommend with reservations.

    It's not perfect but it's not awful. As Neil said earlier, if falls short of what it could have been.

    I landed in a conversation yesterday with a girl who thought this was the worst film she'd ever seen. I defended it and I can think of plenty films worse than this one. Interesting how people can have such a low opinion of this.

    I hate people will silly binary opinions like this. If you can rationally and fairly discuss a film, you certainly should be rating it. I suspect a couple of you have seen me getting annoyed at folks using that term ("worse film ever" or "$hit") here.

    Anyway, obviously the film had some problems, but it also had some pretty strong aspects and were quite original too. I'd say it stuck with me longer than other supposedly "better" films..
