Edge of Tomorrow, and God Bless America:

    Both undervalued gems.

I really enjoyed Edge Of Tomorrow even with the plot holes and mad hand wavium!
Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there--on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. "God Bless America" has been in my Netflix queue for a while. Figured it'd be my cup o' joe. Looks like I was right.

Shoot it on up the queue, Moon - it's a cracking flick.

Yeh. Thought both films were pretty good. Agree on the end of 'Edge of Tomorrow', but didn't care. It's sci-fi anyway, so anything goes really.

'God Bless America' is great too, but a little short? I seem to remember that it ends a bit abruptly. The beginning is great.

It does end a little bit abruptly, I agree ... and could have been a tad bigger ... but it still worked. Also, yeah, that moment near the beginning is kind of the deciding factor on whether you as a viewer are going to be up for the rest of the movie!

"Barbed Wire Dolls" (Jess Franco, 1976):
    http://deadshed.blogspot.co.uk/2015/...-1976-dvd.html

A film which begs the question: at what point do shorts simply just become underwear?!

I was wondering if Moon would be the first to respond to this one.

The second picture is positively conservative by comparison to the first, which is fairly accurate in comparative terms to Monica Swinn's outfit in the movie.

Yeh, just watched that today myself.

One of the greatest sci fi films I have ever seen.

Definitely one that lingers in the mind, too ... I'll be giving it another spin sometime soon, methinks.

The Bling Ring, Olympus Has Fallen, and Transformers: Age of Extinction:
    http://deadshed.blogspot.co.uk/2015/...g-deja-vu.html

    1) Emma Watson & Co get totes cray-cray as they pilfer prestigious plunder from celebrity abodes.
    2) The one that isn't "White House Down" and doesn't have Channing Tatum in it.
    3) A bunch of CGI punches another bunch of CGI beside conveniently placed advertisements for three hours.
