    Wolf Creek 2 [film]

I seem to recall enjoying the original, but I've got a bad feeling about this one...

Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there--on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. Totally agree.

I really enjoyed the first WC, it was brutal and harrowing, I felt it was a cut above most torture porn/slasher type stuff...now it seems they have given "Mick" a "xenophobic cause" when in the first movie he was just an evil psychopath who enjoyed butchering anybody unfortunate enough to cross his path, he'd fuck you up no matter what your creed, colour or nationality (and he'd enjoy it), he also felt no need to justify his actions to anybody, least of all his victims. I also got the impression that he was smart enough to avoid confrontations with the police as well, unlike in this trailer for the new one

In short, the original was a cracking stand alone movie about a really evil guy who murdered and brutalised innocent people for his own pleasure...I doubt I'll be actively seeking this one out.
Oblivion gallops closer, favoring the spur, sparing the rein - I think we will be gone soon
