    I don't think he'd be a good fit!

Film to follow the game's story line. so not having played the game, I have no idea what it is

"It’s an adaptation of the story of The Last of Us," he confirmed. "As far as where we go and how we make it fit into a film, how it takes into account the unique properties of film... We’re not sure yet. We’re only just scratching the surface."

When I look at your abbreviated link the last few characters read as: "1...ame-adaptation."

I've not played the game either. Although I've heard from some that it's kind of like an interactive movie anyway, so perhaps this adaptation will be good ... we can but hope ... movies based on videogames rarely turn out well.

I just cannot imagine that 'The Last of Us' in a film version with Raimi attached will be anything near the dark vibe of the game.

It is like an interactive film for a lot of its parts and for the first part of the game I thought I'd been sold a pup, but I swear I was nearly in tears at the end. Well, not really, but it certainly was intense. The setting was great too, but it is all on rails, make no mistake.

But, a good game nonetheless, with the best voice acting in any game I've played, with a very serious tone throughout.

I wouldn't let Sam Raimi anywhere near it.

I enjoyed my 'playthrough' of the game as well. If you can call it that: more of a repetetive interactive film than what I feel is a videogame.

It could work as a film if they focus on the emotions. More 'the Road' than 'WWZ'. You just know that isn't going to happen.

I heard the game was based on a book. If so, READ THE BOOK. Anyway, meh, can't say I'm excited.
