Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there--on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. I was going to post this on the forums, earlier. This movie will be out next month. I have kept tabs on it for a couple of years. It is supposed to play homage to The Thing.

It has got that sort of feel to it!

I have seen it on dvd somewhere, I knew it was The Thing influenced but thought it might be just a cheap rip-off. Won't get it tho.

I watched it a couple of weeks ago. It is ok, but no "Thing". I advise watching it subtitled and avoid the dub version. There is similar movie in the works called Harbinger Down. This movie uses practical effects as well. I am glad these types of movies are coming out. It is a breath of fresh air vs the CGI crap.
