    US vs UK Ebola coverage

I was thinking of Nighcrawler as I watched the US footage!

Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there--on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. American news continually manages to disgust me with its constant fear-mongering, panic-inducing, voyeuristic perversions and obsessions ... and I'm not much of a fan of UK news either.

I've not seen "Nightcrawler", but I'll definitely check it out sometime - looks like a rather interesting movie!

I suspect you'll understand the reason for my comparison.

Currently working in an Ebola Treatment unit in Liberia. 60 minutes did a special on it a few weeks ago, but they didn't show any of the Liberian national workers, even though it's around one expat nurse to 4 Liberian ones.

    Was pretty frustrating.
