    Drones-eye-view of Pripyat

Thought you guys might appreciate this different view of a lot of the more iconic Pripyat locales.

Really interesting stuff. So odd even after all this time to see all those buildings looking like someone just stepped out & will be back in a minute, & that nature just came in & took over while they were out.

If you can get aerial footage that good from drones, I wonder how that bodes for the accessibility of aerial shots in general in film making? I'm sure he's using top end stuff, but still, I have to imagine that as the tech continues to develop costs will go down, & that shooting with drones would be much more accessible & affordable than helicopters, planes, or even crane shots.

I was wondering that too... I'd imagine it must start being used given how wonderful the results!
Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there--on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.
