Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there--on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. I'm not so sure it worked the first time around, so why would it work this time?

OK, watched this, and for the most part I actually quite enjoyed its madness

Not sure the kids will ever forgive me for making them watch it though...

The family and I really enjoyed it, as well. I genuinely busted out laughing at quite a few moments, which I didn't really expect. This feels like a very close relative to Burton's original film.

The balloon sequence was great, if only for the utter look of confusion on my kids faces

Having just watched the original "Big Adventure", I have to say, I think this sequel is actually a far better film!
