Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there--on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. I'd like to play it, but I doubt I'd have the time for it - looks fantastic, though, and I played the previous three games with fond memories of them now.

I remember playing the original game (still have it) and suffering through the slow performance and bugs and crashes, but went through the story multiple times. Great atmosphere and at times genuinely scary and intimidating. Making it to the CNPP at the end of the game and exploring the inside (e.g. the elephant's foot, the reactor room, the control room etc) was darkly fascinating and chilling.

I'd hope the new game won't have the litany of technical problems that the original had, which was very poorly optimised at the time - however the sequels progressively got more stable and less buggy.
