Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there--on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. It'll be better I'm sure. Prometheus was written by Damon Lindelof. He's an atrocious writer. Here's some of his writing credits:

Star Trek Into Darkness, Cowboys & Aliens and World War Z. Notice a pattern? He's a very bad writer and he can't materialize character motivations if his life depended on it.

This new one is written by John Lohan. He wrote Gladiator, The Aviator and Skyfall.

Well, I dug Prometheus, so I'm stoked for this.

Even with its obvious problems, I still enjoy Prometheus, so I'm optimistic for this one. Just seeing the classic Alien creatures gives me goose bumps. Those staples of the series back in Scott's hands? My ticket is bought for that alone!

Yessir, the third and final one will lead into the classic Alien film.

A 'prologue' scene for the upcoming Alien: Covenant - you get a taste of the cast and the vibe.

    I'm looking forward to this.

    Looks bland and uninteresting.

There's nothing about this film that surprises me. Nothing at all. There's no hook, no twist...
