London New Year fireworks (360 degree view)

Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there--on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. heh, kind of a curious thing to do a 360 video as the show itself isn't in all directions.

I think we Brits put on a really good New Year's fireworks show. I remember when the UK fireworks basically just came from Edinburgh (which has a good setting with the castle), but then it shifted to London for the main show. With The London Eye as the centrepiece I think we've got one of the best fireworks shows in the world.

In America we tend to be "do-it-yourselfers". Nothing says 4th of July or New Year's as a blast of home-made dynamite
