Very Romero-reverent opening for Colbert (9-20-17)

Whoever put the opening sequence together for The Late Show tonight clearly loved Romero. The Obamacare repeal plan "coming back to life" was low hanging fruit as a political joke - but I can't help but think that Colbert and his team also wanted to pay homage to the late great George himself. Lots of Night and Dawn footage throughout! I'll see if I can scare up a video tomorrow to link to.

Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there--on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. hehe, cool! Nice to see the original Dawn getting some proper love there in the big ol' mainstream arena, completely ignoring the sodding remake.

Damn I love classic Dawn so much.
