Another case of misplaced "sarcasm" and "reduction to absurdity", equally falling flat as all other ones you have tried to pull on this Land & Day topic. Monty Python and the Holy Grail clearly states the events are taking place in 932 AD right in its opening sequence. No need to look for further evidence See, that's really clear "exposition" right there, not like Land and its vague "sometime ago... today". So, ironically, even an obvious farcical movie has better "exposition" than Land

Oh, boy... apparently the word "farcical" flies over some people's heads. Does this really have to be explained too? What a desperate attempt at patting the self-admitted troll on the back every time his silly and desperate innuendos come to the surface under the guise of "sarcasm"

Since Monty Python has come up in this thread, speaking about Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg, George A. Romero said...

Happy to know them. They are the cleverest really. They”re really cool. They could be the new Monty Python. They could take over.
    - March 2013 interview with Horrormovies.ca
For the record, Monty Python cam before Shawn of the Dead.

There is nothing in the film that doesn’t explicitly state it isn’t set in a Pre-diluvean society where knights and bobbies co-existed.

It clearly opens with a very explicit and unambiguous statement that it is 932 AD. So, I am afraid that yes, there is. Even if you wanted to purposefully totally misinterpret the obvious "simultaneous modern-day ongoing murder investigation at the filming locations" gag, this strange society where cops and knights co-exist could not be from any other time than what the movie explicitly says.

    This thread, man. Haha.

It seems like "reading between the lines" is an alien concept to some folks around here Rest assured that there is a very transparent ulterior motive to the fellow's feigning-to-be-just-casual-and-innocent "reduction to absurdity" posts. It's not like it's the first time he has tried to pass this kind of nonsense to give some imagined "support" to his arguments regarding Land & Day discrepancies/contradictions/paradoxes.

Ya know what I’d like to see? An explanation for Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure. If Rufus is from an advanced society in the future, why would they use a phone booth, if phone booths are currently obsolete? We’ve been lied to...
