Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there--on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. Yes, but it took almost two weeks for that to happen here. I was surprised that some of you were able to access the forums a week ago.

When you got that warning/no site screen, did you try refreshing the page?

On the second day I had the page, but I refreshed, and the forum was back.

I don't think I did. But each day I turn off the PC when I finish using it. When I would turn on the PC the next day again and try entering the site, same message. This went on for almost 2 weeks.

I remember this specific attack. I was a mind blown preteen who thought hell finally came for us. For whatever reason I screenshoted the hack when I tried to come here.

That same attack came back to bite me earlier this year. I renamed that file in question (with the text in it) out of the way, only for a health check to spot it earlier this year and decide the whole site was infected. So the site was disabled (again)... Grrr...

When does that screen shot date back to?
