I simply had to listen to "Hearts on Fire" again last night, as well as continuing my venture through the back catalogue of Mogwai ... and I nabbed myself the Hans Zimmer "Black Hawk Down" score yesterday, so I'll have to give that an ear-bending...

I prefer the Vince DiCola "Training Montage" myself.

Hans Zimmer : awesome film score composer ... That particular score (titled Hunger) from "Black Hawk Down" gives me the chills , really makes me smell death almost ...He has made some great scores including 'Rain Man' ...

I really don't listen to music much. When I do it is retro 80's I tune into NPR national public radio on my alarm clock and drive to and from work. I guess that kinda makes me geekish?

Maybe, but I have communed with my inner geek after being undercover many years and I am much happier. My GF encourages my dorkiness rather than ridiculing me, which was a blessing.
For survivals sake I had to submerge my true self and it took me years to break out of it. I mean, I lurked on this forum for like 5 years before I ever posted, but now I am free.

I love NPR. wide variety of world information and intervoews. Its not just for faux intellectuals. I do get sick of the over emphasis and jizzing on Classical flamenco guitarists and snobby poets, but luckily that is rarer than you would think.
Due to my crap vision I cant read as much as I used to, so things like NPR have been more important to me
