Disgusting crime, they deserve nothing less than the death penalty. It was a hate crime, no doubt about it. On the issue of race. I caught a black guy trying to short change another employee by pulling the old "I gave you a $50 now give me change for this..." routine. I was ordering food on the phone right next to her at the time and realized what was going on so I hung up the phone and shut her register drawer and took the money right out of her hand and said "No, he is trying to short change you, this isn't going to happen." He immediatly started to scream racism and a coworker of mine, who happens to be black, went off on him about trying to pull the race card out and how it gives blacks a bad name. At the same time, my manager took the drawer and immediatly counted it down and guess what, it was $50 short, apparently he had taken some of her change and put it in his pocket and I didn't see it. The black guy I work with then told him to give us our money and this guy offered to give him $20 to keep it quite because "Us blacks gotta watch each othas back" so the guy I work with told him "I hate theives, give me the money now" and the dude backed down, gave him the money and then called him "racist against his own people" and took off. The best part is, he gave us too much back so we short changed the short change artist. Anyway, I just find it disgusting that because I am white and I catch a thief, that I am accused of being a racist. It has happened a copule times at work and every time it' kind of makes me laugh. I guess I stop theives because I am a racist, not because it's part of my job. Ya learn something new every day...

Its a thing that you encounter when you work any kind of register. They talk fast, change their mind and confuse you. Basically its the confusion that makes you a mark. Thats why people dont put bills in the slots until the transaction is done. I was bartending and some one tried to do that to me. It was a punk bar and this old black man in a pimp suit walks in and tries to pull a game on me. I told him to stop and he was full of s**t. He accused me of taking a 50 and I was a rascist. I was waiting on my change from the boss cause I just opened. I showed him the drawer and It had ONLY A FIVE DOLLAR BILL in it. He walked out yelling racist. I told him to eat me. I had variations of that happen and Im not having it. It is really easy to get caught up in one The problem with articles like that is they are claiming justice, but trying to foster fear and bigotry. And all that detail was just pornographic
