I know what you mean sometimes, I've certainly 'tried before I buy' before, and like with Grindhouse I watched a VCD out of lame protest to the Weinstein's for splitting them up, but I loved it, so I just know I'll go and see them in the cinema, and get the uber-DVD when it comes out... I recently saw a bootleg DVD of a new movie recently and does it make me want to keep it and never buy official releases again? Hell no! I want to know what I'm shellin' hardcore dollar for beforehand...
