Game recording programs

I wanted to record some footage and make some game videos but I wanted to know which program would be best for recording gameplay. I've tried Fraps and Gamecam before but I wondered which would be the best to actually buy, or, if there are any other better ones out there.

fraps is the most recommended one ive ever heard of.

Aye, I've always used Fraps...so I'd stick with that one, it's simple and gets the job done. Of course, recording footage and playing a game does double the load your computer has to munch through, so as long as you have a speedy computer you should be a-ok.
