todays topic, console fanboys. seriously, go to game trailers.com and you have 360 fanboys in ps3 threads and wiis and vice versa for the other two, yet when i conrfont them about there hatred for plastic having no relevance in life, AS ITS A FRIGGIN TOY!, they dont reply, but if someone trolls back they insantly are spitting more venom than a cobra hats....well just like a poisonous snake in general. So ive come to this conspiratorial conculsion, and im about 90% ure im right. a year bakc a big blog saying how fantastic the ps3 was was taken down after it was discovered the guys worked for sony and were paid to do this. The ad whent down but i do not believe it ended ther,e i honestly think over the last 2 years marketing companys have a current viral marketing trend of paying people to instigate flaming about consoles on internet sites. its all about segregation, wether you agree or not most people fall for the "your either with us or your one of THEM" marketing ploy, this segregation causes product loyalty as even in the anonimity of the ent people still fear they will be seen as an outsider, as abnormal, so rather than the general, enjoying them as an entertainment medium that gaming used to be we have bitchings about wich is "4 THA WIN!" taking up 70% of all the major gameing forums nowadays. Who do you think coined the term console war anyway? a little too paranoid?, maybe .but considering some marketing techniques over the past 40 years its not that implausible. thoughts?

would be a good theory if console wars hadn't been going on years and years and years before the internet was publically accessible and as large as it is now.

true ,but im on about forum trolls in particular, about some of em being paid flamers to stir up crap to gain product loyalty. - that and the matix has you andy, follow the white rabbit.
