Overall, I think this new version is even better than the original. That's CHRISTOPHER LEE AT 2:25! How badass is that? Yes, even better than Orson Welles (although his voiceover on Defeder is irreplaceable, methinks).

"some call me the Warlord 'cause i'm a god damn bad machine." man, their lyrics have always cracked me the fuck up. oh and why is it that every other metal band out there now has a Sindarin name?

Other bands play...ManO'War kills... (& yeah Mike, from what I understand they're pretty huge in parts of Europe & South America. Google some of their Youtube videos & the festival crowds they're playing to are fucking MASSIVE.)

Google some of their Youtube videos & the festival crowds they're playing to are fucking MASSIVE.) i've checked some of those out. the crowds in germany, in particular, are humungous. i saw these guys a couple of times back in like 87-88ish. loud as a band of snow monkeys at it during the spring thaw and, of course, a completely over-the-top stage show/presence.

Well they ARE "the loudest band in the world". (a fact that they're inordinately proud of ). I was quite impressed at how GOOD they sounded live as well though. If you're a fan of the albums, I thought they translated well live.

Well, it's that time of the year again. Time for me to head down to Baltimore for 5 days of debauchery (sorry, liver). I'm heading down tomorrow afternoon and this time around I'll be catching the following bands: Coroner Voivod Neurosis Nuclear Assault Corrosion Of Conformity Doom Cathedral Tragedy Exhumed Nunslaughter Aura Noir Repugnant Dropdead Cianide Flesh Parade Lack Of Interest Machetazo Malignant Tumour Noisear Pulling Teeth And maybe I'll catch some of the other gazillion bands playing, but I'll probably be too busy raging. I'll try to give some sort of report June 1.

I havent been able to buy anything metal related lately so instead, ive been using myspace and youtube for my metal fixes. . Im also a metal guitarist so ive been playing alot of BvB, trivium and slipknot aswell. Has anyone heard Jeff Loomis? Hes pretty damn godly! lol.

W. dude, remember when we were talking about record collections? i got rid of some of stuff and made a mint. i've never been destructive, so all my stuff was in damn awesome shape. got rid of a slayer postmortem maxi-single and first pressings of "killers", "maiden Japan", "the number of the beast", "piece of mind", "don't break the oath", and "ride the lighting." i was very happy when i left the record shop.
