I have trouble believing that. If you park say 1.5ft away from another car, I know with normal doors you can open them enough to get in... But gull-wing doors? Surely not! Surely yes! I never had a problem with parking close to something before. You typically need 11 inches for side clearance next to something to be able to open the gullwings. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gull-wing_door In the Bricklin they are the upgraded air operated system for the doors (originally came with hydraulics which were poor due to leaks) so I just touch a button (either getting in or out) and the door flies up.

I had a Delorean way back in the 80s It belonged to a lawyer I knew who let me use it anytime i wanted. and skip is right the thing was nothing but trouble it looked great and got everyones attention but it ran like crap
