Remembered seeing this url on a 40th anniversary banner:
Night of the Living Dead 40th Anniversary (http://notld40.com/)

Is this the best that they could come up with to promote the 40th? Wow.

The "Did You Know" section is stuff that any fan would know...

What is this site for, anyway? I think most fans would know about the convention dates...

indeed my question as well. is this some sort of "official" website for the 40th? if so it is pretty weak.

I guess it's for promoting the 40th anniversary since I saw it on a banner at the Dallas convention.

Some of the info in "Did You Know?" isn't correct. It should be called "Do You Know?" because they sure don't.

I venture to guess that this is one of those "official" NOLD excursions that Romero has no participation in (save for his appearances at the conventions, which - given that Diary was just released - are somewhat tangential in nature) and that the entire website is the work of "the rest" (Russo, Streiner, et al) much like the 30th anniversary/travesty was put together. (A shame, btw, that Russo, et al. did that with the 30th-- it caused me to lose quite a bit of respect for them. I would guess that they will make the same desperate grab for recognition once again with the 40th.)
