Now I am glad I am in my 30's and just seeing one person because according to this article as a teenager you have a 25% chance of catching something for teenaged girls.
the most common STD was HPV, the least common Herpes.

Odd.. if they are sexually transmitted diseases
that means the girls got them from ...boys!!
so girls keep your legs closed.
everyone should go gay
or get those life sized puppets
that are anatomically correct.
anything but monogamy lord....

From what I've heard, if you've had unprotected sex with more than one person in your life, you've most likely got HPV. Most people have it and don't know it because it doesn't have any real signs, and the only real damage it can do is cervical cancer in women. So guys have nothing to worry about with that one.:p
I actually know a woman that got cervical cancer because of it, though.

Do they teach this stuff in schools? They didn't bother in my day. We saw a birthing video and had one hour of putting rubbers on fruit and an hour of "girls, squat over a mirror and see what you've got down there" and that was it.
I've never even heard of HPV...sounds like some kind of American car to me. :moon:
I wonder what the figure for British girls is? :sneaky:
Kortick - damn straight - I think the state should sponsor everybody to have Real Dolls ... or at least, the Asian knock-off versions!
Or ... flesh-lites and dildo's for everybody!
Or ... don't f*ck skanks ... or wear a f*cking johnny!

Nah HPV is the genital warts virus, and something like 80% of the population are carrying it!
I caught chlamydia about 5 years ago, thats a common one as well,i was sleeping around a lot then though :o

Yes i infected everyone of them
you dont understand, they NEEDED genital warts.
And sorry, tricky I gave you clymidia,
It was me dressed up as that lady that night.
Of course when I dress in my pretty things I drip elegance.
i guess we both drank too much, hate when that happens.
then you get the old q tip dipped in alcohol shoved
down the hole in your unit all the way down to clean out the
insides, and a shot in the ass, and that big oval pill to take,
err this is what i heard i never had this happen to me of course.
i am saving myself for a rich widow of 13.

That really doesn't warrant a "WRONG". That's just theory that I haven't seen proven up until this point. I'm not saying it's wrong, but a single 'Times' article from over a year ago isn't exactly enough to scare a nation.

It kind of does warrant a Wrong (although the Wrong was supposed to be more of a be careful type of wrong than a snotty Wrong:))
If you think men are not at risk for cancer from hpv think again:

Here is an earlier one where it is recommended males get the new hpv vaccine:

Of course it could help lead to cancer. What doesn't these days? It seems every night I turn on the news they're announcing some other crap that gives cancer. I bet the oatmeal I had this morning or the coffee I'm drinking now can possibly lead to cancer.
I'm just saying that HPV isn't THAT big of a deal. I'm willing to bet that more than 3/4 of the people that visit this forum have it....

Oh my lord I've had so much unprotected nookie its not even funny.
lol....
I'm such a sl@g. Still in my youth, although I've been very promiscuous, I've been very very lucky also...group situations, 3sums, you name it...done it all pretty much....have had test results since and everything came back negative. Spot on.
I was worried about Chylamidia but thankfully there was nothing to worry about - only because its "silent" without any symptons.

So you're not worried because you don't have it, or you're not worried because it's not a problem for you?
Keep in mind, folks, that half the girls in the study (as young as 14) had never had sex. So the chance of an STD if you're sexually active is more like 50-50. And if you consider the type of partner likely to put up with one of you louts, the chances are even higher! ;) And a lot of STDs can't be reliably prevented with condoms.

I'm not worried because me and my long term gf got checked out and it was fine :)
in 2005 I sh*gged an 18 year old with my gf....man that was amazing...still that was the last thing we did and since then had the tests and all is good. Phew. Lucky as this statistic puts me right in the danger zone!! hahahahaha

Agreed, theres loads of different strains of it,and only 2 of them cause visible warts, and if you have either of those strains they are the harmless ones!it sounds scary when they say theres no cure for it,but thats not really true because if you have a good immune system your body will clear it within 18 months & it wont come back (like chickenpox, measles etc) unless of course you get aids, then everything you used to be immune to will come back!

Other than HIV, syphillus probably scares me the most, because it makes you go mad before it eventually kills you
