Pretty cool. Not much of a reason to have the second guitar for the high end tapping, though. I suppose he did it for the different tone...

No he needed the second guitar.
cant you see the capo on the 3rd fret?
he changed the top string from an E to a G
and all the others similarly giving him a different range
on the second guitar
also he is tapping on the same string on both of them at times.
you cant tap the 12th fret and the 3rd fret on the D string simutaneously
on the same guitar and get both notes.
you would never get the low F and the high D to sound together.
technically he knows exactly what he is doing.

Ah. That makes sense. It's pretty damn blurry on this computer. I can't even see the make of the guitar(Ibanez?), fret inlays, or anything.
