Night of the Living Dead screening in L.A. on April 25th (http://www.americancinematheque.com/archive1999/2008/Egyptian/specialevent_APRIL_2008.htm#NIGHT%20OF%20THE%20LIV ING%20DEAD)

Being screened in conjunction with the NIGHT 40th anniversary tour at the Fangoria Weekend of Horrors. Looks to be the first theatrical screening of the new 35mm print! :D

yojimbo since you live in LA betake yourself to this screening and let us know what the new print looks like.

Good stuff, Dub. A friend of mine saw Night in London last year and said it was a great print, so this should be even better.

I'm on it, and trying desperately to get someone to cover my schedule on that day. If all goes well I'll be there and will come back to the pages with a full report.

Dubious done Dallas, too (sorry, couldn't resist), and while is was great, this is the first screening of the new restored 35mm print. I can't wait to check it out in my area.

I meant to do this thing, but got shanghaied at work and had to cover a couple of services as a favor to the boss. Hated to miss it! Same thing with my plan fo disrupting the Day of the Dead Q&A session. Sometimes I wish that I had enough money socked away so that I could flake on work with impunity, but you know how it is!

Rats, you missed the convention, Yojimbo?

I want to hear about the screening, and would also like to know if Marilyn Eastman was a guest at the show as advertised.

They keep advertising her even though she isn't attending.

In fact they don't even mention her as touring here:
