I'm not one to be too serious usually
and i know extreme things happen oddly in my life
but this is about all of you

take the time to pay attention
to people and things around you

Satuday night I was out with some friends
at a restaurant then to a blues club.
One guy I was with, Frank is the nicest guy you could meet.
We saw his daughter, she was out with her friends going to a different
restaurant and then off home to pick up her kids.

well as she was leaving the restaurant early (to get the kids)
someone ordered chocolate cake, they didnt have just
chocolate, they had chocolate hazelnut.

as she was leaving they brought the cake to her friend, so she said
"oh let me taste it before I go" and she took literlly 1 fork full.
She is allergic to nuts. she didnt know it was hazelnut.

By sunday she was in the hospital on life support.
today is monday and they are making arrangements to
pull the plug.
over one fork full of cake, 2 kids lose thier mom overnight
and my friend Frank loses his second child (his son died in a car wreck)

so take the time to pay attention to everything.
cuz literaly a taste of cake can mean the end of your life.

Its really odd to see someone out and happy at a restaurant
with their friends one night and the next day on life support
with the EEG showing no brain activity.

too late for us, maybe not for all of you.

that's horrible, man. what a ****en bummer....:(

luckily, i'm not allergic to anything (with the exception of poison ivy, stuff like that).

hard to believe that a single bite of something as commonplace as cake could be fatal.

Sorry to hear that. Did anyone besides the people who brought it out knew it had hazelnut?

Holy ****, holy ****. That's seriously one of the saddest stories I've ever read. That's just awful and depressing. My best wishes to Frank and his family. Be sure to tell him that.

Sorry to hear that. You never really think of something so small being so dangerous, ya know?

sorry to hear about that Kor. I have a friend who always ate healthy, always stayed in good shape but now his liver is failing him so it just goes to show you can never know what life has in store for us.
