Never heard of that one. Whats the deal on this?
don't know if it is true or not and given the source of this info it might apocryphal. i found this paragraph on wikipedia:
The small budget dictated much of the production process. According to Hardman, "We knew that we could not raise enough money to shoot a film on a par with the classic horror films with which we had all grown up. The best that we could do was to place our cast in a remote spot and then bring the horror to be visited on them in that spot."[7] Scenes were filmed near Evans City, Pennsylvania, 30 miles (48 km) north of Pittsburgh in rural Butler County; the opening sequence was shot at the Evans City Cemetery on Franklin Road, south of the city. The indoor scenes (upstairs) were filmed in a downtown Evans City home that later became the offices of a prominent local physician and family doctor (Allsop). This home is still standing on South Washington St. (locally called Mars-Evans City Road), between the intersecting streets of South Jackson and Van Buren. The outdoor and basement scenes were filmed at a location northeast of Evans City, near a park (that house has since been razed).
given the shaky source i almost didn't even mention it. i was hoping that someone might be able to confirm or deny this info.

Oh yeah, that is total crap. The basement scenes were filmed in the basement of 247 Fort Pitt BLVD. Considering that they were on an extreme shoestring, I seriously doubt that they would have gone to another location to film when they had a perfectly good upstairs where they were. A couple of screen captures could easily prove that it was the same house, up and down.

That Washington, PA credit on Night 90 has likely been throwing people off for years, as well as circling around that cemetery that Dubious linked too (myself included). I have no effing idea what sent us off in the direction of West Middletown, but we found the effer. We spotted the Night 90 House on the way back into town. The Fan of the Dead guy did get it right--he has it listed as West Middleton Cemetery and not Washington Cemetery. It looks much larger on video than it appears on the map. Yes, the Missile Silo used in the film is connected to the mine. I have been there. It is still there.

Wow, no ****. I read about that place, didn't see anything about a silo in there. What did they tell you about it?

Our tour guide, who was pretty much the manager of the place, wouldn't allow us to visit it because it was being leased. Thats all she said about it as she ignored our whimpering pleas.

Wow, I wonder who the mystery renter is? I'll have to see about a tour next time I head up that way. Explains the security.

I made a few calls in the weeks leading up to my arrival, but to be honest, I think you'll have just as much luck just pulling up and asking to have a look. Just throw some B.S. and say you talked to a lady about a month back who said it was cool. I've heard stories from different groups that just arrived and got the same treatment that we did.

You have to double click on the linked areas to vote and leave comments. I didn't understand how it worked at first, either.
The Fan of the Dead guy did get it right--he has it listed as West Middleton Cemetery and not Washington Cemetery. It looks much larger on video than it appears on the map. That DVD is crazy--they listed the physical address of every location visited, even the private residences which is sort of not cool.
Original location of the 1968 Night of the Living Dead Farmhouse (http://wikimapia.org/#lat=40.7843921&lon=-80.0273645&z=17&l=0&m=a&v=2) (best view available on wikimapia, anyhow)
The intersection of Hendry St & Main St, Fort Myers, FL (http://wikimapia.org/#lat=26.6434983&lon=-81.8692321&z=18&l=0&m=h&v=2) where the wide angle of the dead walking in Day of the Dead was shot facing north.
Edison Theatre, Fort Myers, FL (http://wikimapia.org/#lat=26.6436181&lon=-81.8692186&z=20&l=0&m=h&v=2) from Day of the Dead
The B&P Truckyard (http://wikimapia.org/#lat=40.326246&lon=-79.7173977&z=17&l=0&m=h&v=2) from Dawn of the Dead
Is anyone else even trying? :p
I have some pics of the farmhouse location and the bridge right around the corner to the house.I had camcorder footage but I got so excited that it was paused instead of recording.I hope the pictures come out though.

The Greek and I took a screen cap with us so we were able to recognize it, even though the house had since been modified slightly (not to mention the bloody big tree that obscures half of it).

No part of Day was shot there.
Day was shot entirely on the beach/landing area you linked to, the mines, the missile silo connected to the mines, another missile site where they filmed the elevator shaft scene(s), and downtown Ft. Myers. 4 locations in total.
Any chance of a link to the mines (& connect silo)?

Here is the Night of the Living Dead Road (http://wikimapia.org/#lat=40.727389&lon=-80.072469&z=17&l=0&m=a&v=2) as seen in the opening scenes.
That rooftop is the 247 building where the NIGHT basement and DAWN elevator shaft scenes were also shot.
Google Maps is even more fun because most of Pittsburgh and the surrounding area has been mapped with 360° street views:
247 Building (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=279%2BFort%2BPitt%2BBlvd,%2BPittsburgh,%2BPA%2B1 5222&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=30.819956,59.765625&ie=UTF8&ll=40.439321,-80.002956&spn=0.007218,0.014591&z=16&iwloc=addr) (you actually need to enter 279 as the street number, but you're looking at 247).
Cool!
Dawn of the Dead Redneck Road (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=monroeville+airport,+monroeville,+pa&layer=c&ie=UTF8&ll=40.45965,-79.771299&spn=0.007216,0.014591&z=16&cbll=40.45621,-79.77216&cbp=1,324.3069574878619,,0,1.0341063875402552)
Unfortunately, the airport ain't mapped 360°: Harold W. Brown Airfield (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=monroeville+airport,+monroeville,+pa&layer=c&ie=UTF8&ll=40.462066,-79.769669&spn=0.014432,0.029182&z=15&cbll=40.454826,-79.77112&cbp=1,262.4562099479217,,0,11.545384273101641)

It's the cemetery in Washington, PA, which axlish pointed out by the second page of the thread was not used for the NIGHT remake. It's the West Middleton cemetery a few miles away that was used in the film, and that location is linked in the first post.
Wasn't trying to be secretive, but the info was posted, just read the thread. :)
