I heard of this yesterday and wanted to punch something. I thought I had finally heard the last of people spouting out quotes like "I love lamp" and " I love scotch....scotchy, scotch, scotch".

Don't get me wrong, I like the movie and found it funny at first, but around this town people seem to compare it to the coming of christ. I'm sick of hearing about it. A sequel will only make this worse and also most likely not be anywhere near as good as the first. Not that it's a fantastic film, anyway...

Probably the best thing to come out of Anchorman was Judd Apatow finally getting studio backing to produce and direct his quality films. All the while Will Ferrell has continued to be the same and gradually less funny character in every film he's in....

Seeing as how they were able to make two perfectly hilarious movies out of one movie worth of material, I say bring it on another installment.

(if you don't the idea of a particular movie, ignorange would be a better strategy than stirrung up more attention for it)

I really like some of the Will Ferell movies, but his current shtick is getting a bit old.

Time to dice things up a bit, take some chances, fail/enjoy some minimal success and then enjoy a triumphant return to form a few years later doing a somewhat more washed up version of what we're used to seeing him peddle to us.

PS--I love lamp :D *Points at Lamp*

Did you see Semi Pro? I think it's the first movie I've walked out of in about 8-10 years. Horrible...

No, I didn't risk seeing it. It set my danger senses to tingle (and not the good kind of tingle, either) and started me on a somewhat negative mindset with regards to W. Ferell's trend and its seemingly downward spiral.

Two movies?

Wake Up, Ron Burgundy: The Lost Movie

Plot Summary
The plot of the film features the KVWN Channel Four News team, led by Ron Burgundy and Veronica Corningstone, investigating an extremist organization known as The Alarm Clock.

Sequel or Alternate Cut?
Even though this movie is considered an alternate cut, there are notices that this movie could be closely become an sequel if it doesn't include few footages already seen in the other version. Also, the narrator revealed what happened to Ron and other news members explicitedly considered this an sequel instead.

I don't think that can be considered a full movie. It's a special feature on the dvd....

No it isn't. It only came in a 2 pack in certain stores, and is an entirely different disc with its own case. Furthermore, it is a completely separate feature length film with over 90% different footage. In closing, the two separate imdb pages are indicative enough.

It must be because I bought it pre-viewed at Blockbuster or something. It was definitely on the special features DVD I bought from there.

Either way, a sequel will probably have a few laughs and bring in a good deal of cash because of the first, but in the end will probably be way below par....

Will Farrell is an unfunny jerk. The only thing humorous about these films is that apparently enough people have been duped into paying good $$$ to see them.
