Well, the problem with Obama is that he's a populist who can't possibly make all his promises come true. On top of that, his brand of 'reaching across barriers' means making too many concessions to foreign and domestic interests. Being a good leader and a great mediator is hard to pull off and I don't think someone who is basically a junior senator is ready for it, especially when that person is so absolutely far to one side of the political spectrum as Obama is (Left!).

Then there's the matter of what Khardis pointed out about his either questionable motives, judgment or feelings about race, which are pretty valid given what we've seen over the last few months.
