Daleks have been able to fly since the Sylvester McCoy years.

I don't like Dr Who, but the fact remains that Daleks always have and always will look very funkin' cool indeed.

The Oscar pic is also pretty neat though...he was one of my childhood role models.:D

Now ... what about the Daleks with canons in their 'chest'? I think those were around in the McCoy years.

Wooo! Davros! My fave Dr Who baddy! :)

Doctor Who... I'm no expert, but I'll say that it's definetly an UK thing.

I think so. I mean the doctor is a bit of a tradition and I never liked it when I was younger because of the mass nerdy stigma then very recently within the last year or so Ive started watching which led on from reading some threads on here and I love it. Currently in the process of obtaining all the diffrent doctors god bless you torrenting.

Also The Doctor Dead? No! Cant be! :hyper:

Also nice pics, Ive seen Davros before and dont see the fear and its the same with the daleks. They just look like clunky relics of the past and I know this is who blasphemy so get the mob pitchforks and torches.Meh.

Now I ususally love British TV. . .Avengers, Monty Python, The Prisoner. . . but I could never get behind Dr. Who. Can't explain it. . just don't like it.

Love the Emma Peel years of Avengers, Monty Python, Are You Being Served ("I'm free!")?, Blake's 7 (but hated the way they ended the series), Tripods (old series, 80's, I think?), and a series called Red Dwarf. Good stuff, those! :p

Question, then - if a thread's not closed but a few months old (and since I just returned to HoptD after a few years and am catching up on previously discussed topics), is it taboo to respond to them? Just curious, as don't want to do something frowned upon. :p

As a rule of thumb, it's fine as long as the contribution provides new information or a different angle or something of substance, like meat & potatoes substance. :)

Otherwise it's just a case of 'by all means, have a read'.
