wow......their first title in TWENTY TWO years. i'd hardly call them "contenders" now since everyones bound to win sometime or another. look at the patriots and red sox. they havent been perenially good in a long time except for now. and just last season the celtics had the WORST NBA RECORD EVER.


its a team full of has beens and never weres,same cassell im looking at you. garnette played for what? TWELVE years and never won nothin?

The Celtics did their civic duty. When the Lakers win the Championship, their fans riot. Boston probably saved a dozen lives tonight by preventing that.

contender........it means to be in contention, perenially great, never a bad season. boston cant eveer lay claim to that witht hat 25 win season last year. anyone can buy a team
