swiss tv ran the german national anthem with subtitles that included the now long abandonded first verse - the deutschland uber alles verse. the first verse was scrapped after WWII because of its obvious affiliation with the nazis.

Did any of the Swiss that were watching tv even care? I know if I tuned in to watch a basketball game or something, I wouldn't give one rat's ass what version of a German anthem got played. I'd be getting a sandwich and taking a piss while it was played, anyway.
