Well my show went off pretty good....several strangers mentioned how my group show was really good....so I suppose it was decent....

I didnt manage to get any pictures of them when they were in the gallery....cause my batteries were dead when I brought my camera there opening night...and I was too lazy to go back...

But strangers did take pictures of me with my sculptures...

But for a class I have to start arranging a portfolio....(its some course requirement or some ****).....

So these are some of my sculpture pictures...what do you guys think.....

Very impressive. Original and interesting, to say the least. Especially in a world where people believe that if you own a computer and have photoshop, it makes an "artist". It's good to see there are REAL "hands on" artists left in the world! I'd love to see them up close and in person!

Yeah they're definitely much cooler in person....but especially the burlap ones....They are human sized so their presence in a room doesnt transfer well to film....

Im a horrible photographer....mostly because I have no patience for it...I like to have that tactile engagement with something Im making but beyond that Im finished with the piece.....what I need is someone whose a decent photographer to take pictures of mystuff because I cant stand trying to do it....

Jeez, you have alto of talent bud...as said before, they are VERY immpressive, and I imagine would be much cooler in person...I gotta ask, where do you come up with the ideas for them, looks like something spawned from nightmares....

I wouldn't like to be in one of your nightmares!

Seriously though, those are really cool sculptures. Sorry, isn't hugely constructive I know, but I've been out filming all day in the hot sun with muskets firing off near me frightening the crap out of me, lol. Very cool sculptures indeed.

Most of it is dreams and stuff...like day dreaming...or just ideas gained from dreaming...Like if its a dream, I dont really try to capture what the "thing" looked like in the dream cause thats pretty impossible considering the nature of dreams...but I try to capture how the dream as a whole felt in some formal representation...

Looked at them again. Man, I REALLY love the first piece alot!!!

BUT, the 6th one (6th, being the 6th photo down)......I would love to sit and study it for a while. That one I call "Madame Cauchemar" (Cauchemar is French for Nightmare) - what have you christened that one? It may be my favorite. ( oh, you mentioned not having patience for photography earlier, well, you captured her well in these, especially the shadow in the grass)
