“I’m just starting to talk to Sony about it,” Anderson confessed. “I don’t even know if anything will come of it, but there’s a possibility it might happen. I love the ‘Resident Evil’ franchise and we always try to make the best possible movie we can. If we could find a good ‘Resident Evil 4’ to make, then we would do it but I wouldn’t just do it for the sake of it, that’s for sure.”

Here's (http://www.bloody-disgusting.com/news/12774) the article.

Milla Jovovich and Michelle Rodriguez batting a ping-pong ball for two hours.

Actually, that don't sound half bad. :sneaky:

ugh. Take out Rodriguez and replace her with an actual woman and I might pay to see it.

Rodriguez is a dude. There...I said it.

I don't particularly rate her as an actress but there's something very attractive about Rodriguez's brash gobby manliness. There I said it.:D

I think that's a pretty accurate quote...he always "tries" to make the best movie he can, it's just that he's **** and can't make anything with more appeal than a steaming cat turd.

Hell, just replace them with Scarlet Johansson and Jessica Alba (sans pregnancy of course, think Sin City era) ... and forget the movie ... and the ping pong ... just send them to my gaff all oiled up and steamy. :D

Resi was sh*t-gash, Resi 2 was sh*t, and Resi 3 was gash ... seriously, they tried to make these movies? *chokes on laughter so hard he turns inside out, twice*

Owww...

huh.

all he did was produce resident evil 3, he didn't write or direct that time, seems a bit retarded to, given that the one he didn't have creative control over made more than the ones he did, give him any say in resi 4. i mean this IS sony were talking about.

Well Hellz, given the fact that Resi 3 grossed $147 million, I'm sure Sony Pictures don't give a rats ringpiece who directs it.

'I wouldn't just do it for the sake of it.'

Yeah, right mate.

Those movies are ****, re-animated dogs and monsters? Still, I have not seen the most recent movie. Someone let me know when it's on SciFi, I'll go plant some mushrooms now.

Maybe they could make a straight up movie remake of the game version of Resident Evil 2...complete with Leon and Claire! What a novel concept, huh? A Resident Evil movie using characters and story from the actual canon.

Doesn't mean a ****ing thing, Ace, you should realize that from reading all the threads on this website. Just because little video game worshippers went to the theaters in droves with money in their hands doesn't automatically mean the movie is of value. Quality, Ace, quality is not entirely about money as you'll come to realize.

I liked the first one, and I don't appologise for that. :p The first half of that movie was better than Land or Diary. The second one was complete ****. The third wasn't terrible.

have you ever PLAYED resident evil?

Fair question.

And I forgive RE2 for being crap for the simple reason that they had Sienna Guillory as "Jill Valentine" in it. The flash of crotch in the graveyard scene was an added bonus.

Lost interest in video games when I hit puberty and discovered the wonderful world of fireworks in the late 80s. I did play Mike Tyson's punchout for ****s and giggles not long ago while I helped kill a case of beer. Was a good time until the seal broke on my bladder. I've seen others play Resident Evil, never thought much of it. It reminds me of something the Sci Fi channel thought up in the bathroom.

well then i get it, because resident evil is more monsters than zombies really, thats why i hate the original, no creatures bar one bloody licker.
In the games zombieism is the lowest form of mutation from the t virus, it effects everything , crows, humans, dogs, sharks, tigers, elephants, anything mammalian really. but the virus is created to create organic weapons, like giant tyrants, lightning fast hunters, i could go on, but resident evil was never a zombie series. they were a staple, but so's dragons in dragon quest and that-...is a bad example:lol:

-anyway, point is the games are monster filled b movie homages and it always bugs me when people watch the movies but never play the games and expect a straight zombie movie. not a personal thing, just , y'know, it bugs the hell outta me.

I mean the dogs coming back to live, etc. and the monsters. They don't fit into Night, Dawn, Day, etc.

I SO agree about Sienna Guillory as Jill Valentine! But, did I miss something in the graveyard scene?? I hated how it was filmed as it's very headache inducing...

Aye, resident evils always been about mutations from a virus outbreak. still bloody great games, resident evil 2 in particular. but theyve never been straight forward zombie fests, though theres a lot of homages to romero in the series.

I'd have really liked to have seen what GAR would have done with Resi, cos what was actually done was rubbish.

GAR even had his son play through the game so he could see what happened in order to write the script, which I thought was cool.

But no, Resi films - all of them = sh*t-gash!
