From what I hear, it wreaks of studio tampering.:stunned:

Reviews seem to suggest it's got problems, but is still good!?!

I prefer the original title, "Tonight, He Comes". Apparently that's a reference to a sex scene in the film.

Seriously...

Saw Hancock yesterday.

It's a sharp straight-faced satire on the superhero myth, with Will Smith playing a dirty foul mouthed powerful being who does good around LA, chasing down the bad guys, stopping speeding trains from smashing civilians, but causing millions of dollars in damage and cussing out the citizenry in the process. This makes the mystery hero less of a savior than a pest for the beleaguered public.
This changes when an influential but altruistic PR man (Jason Bateman ) is saved by Hancock. The grateful family man decides the best way to thank the wayward super guy is to remold him into the kind of hero that the public and Hancock himself can embrace.
Along the way Hancock also discovers Family from the PR man's wife (Charlize Theron ) and son.
For most of the film, the direction is clear and the mix of humor and humility are right on. Only toward the end did the movie wobble slightly in matters of continuity, but it's still great fun to rival Iron Man as one of the best super hero pictures out there.

I just saw it. I liked it a lot. The first half of the movie was great, the second half was a bit meh. I would like to have seen more superhero antics. The last half lacks that, But it was altogether good.

i saw it yesterday, it was a good movie. i said "if smith says ah hell no im walkin' out" but he didn't, none of his usual crap he just put on a good performance and whilst it tapers a little in the end its worth viewing in the cinema. just for his way of dealing with criminals.

"now, your head is going up HIS ass, and his head is going up YOUR ass, and you pulled the short straw, because your head is going up MY ass"

"....did.. you shove a mans head up another mans ass?"

*hancock nods silently*

I really really enjoyed it!!!

There's definately some odd bits in it which don't feel right... But the overall film is good enough to overcome these issues!

Would love to know what happened to this film during editing!
