After all that laptop talk earlier, I think my folks might be getting a new desktop, so with that in mind - that leads on to Anti-Virus software - and considering that Norton 2006 is just a pain in my arse most of the time, what's this Kaspersky anti-virus thing like?

Anybody got it? Any good?

I've only stuck with Norton after a nasty experience with PC-Cillin, years ago, which was rubbish and killed the computer it was on, but perhaps it's time to step outside the 'safety' of stubbornly sticking with Norton.

So - Kaspersky Anti-Virus - is it good? Any problems?

Info please. :)

The only thing I've used for years now on all my machines is AVG free...

Me too, never had any trouble with it.

I use Norton Internet Security, nothing wrong with the most modern versions of this suite...Norton has served me well since I discovered "the joy of intertube" several years ago.

Kaspersky is meant to be very good, NOD32 is also top notch I am told. As for free ones, AVG & AVAST are meant to be pretty good.
