...so how many of you have seen the same film on an IMax screen, and a standard digital screen? Any opinions?

I did this past weekend for The Dark Knight. I'd never seen Imax before and TDK may have a small advantage because of actually being filmed with Imax cameras instead of being converted like past films, but...It. Was. Amazing!
Kinda freaked me out, to be honest. The opening shot of the film is Gotham City's skyline and it tripped me out. Felt like flying. The clarity and size is awe inspiring.
The next day I saw the same film in a standard theater. I wouldn't say the change in the image is enough to take away from the film. Not quite as clear, obviously, but the image is still sharp enough. I didn't even think about The Imax after about 5 minutes.
My two cents on this subject and TDK: If you have access to an Imax, it's REALLY worth the higher ticket cost/trouble. If not, standard is good enough and the film is still a blast, imo.
