I found this book in the kiddie section of a bookstore, mixed in with the Dr. Seuss and Everybody Poops, and I had to share.
Checkout the crazy eyes on that Z. Scary stuff for the tykes....
They discuss The Serpent & the Rainbow... in a book for KIDS!
I would have loved this in Elementary school.
Google's scan of the book is here. (http://tinyurl.com/ZombiesForKids)

That image is from Hammer's Plague of the Zombies which preceded Night of the Living Dead by a couple of years. You know... from that forgotten era of cinema that is largely ignored by sophisticated modern horror fans.

Ah yes, the Hammer films. I watched pretty much all of them on the "Creature Double Feature" on Saturday afternoons when I was a wee tike. I always liked their Curse of the Werewolf one.

I loved Plague Of The Zombies, it used to scare the pants off me as a kid, back in the day of the Hammer double bill on BBC1 every Friday night. While it is not my fave Hammer film by far, I think it's a worthy entry.

Yet another source that wrongfully states that in Night Of The Living Dead "the dead are brought back to life from radiation."

Yeah. . maybe I should get this for my daughter. She's getting interested in zombie movies and scary movies in general. .mostly because I like them. She never gets to watch them at her mom's house so its kind of an extra thrill for her to see them at my house.

not by all of us. the hammer movies absolutely crush what is out there today. no contest. i'll take the gorgon, the devil rides out, night creatures, the dracula series, the frankenstein series, etc. over pretty much anything .
