Whoa, that was awesome. For some reason I have incredibly good luck with seeing meteors. I'd say at the very LEAST, I see one a month. There are nights where I'll see more than one. Some months I'll see upwards of five.

I guess that's bound to happen when you spend a lot of nights outdoors drinking.

I saw that vid on the telly t'other day, wicked cool stuff.

You know what isn't wicked cool though? BBC iPlayer, that thing is a useless piece of sh*t, wouldn't load properly, then I had it playing, but it was dimmed out and had that circle of moving dots ("loading") rolling around even though it was playing. BBC - f*ck off with that crap.

Meteor vid though - effin' cool.

Amazing - I never get tired of seeing things like that. The Aurora Borealis is another phenomena that is extremely beautiful...

Have you seen it in the 'flesh'?

i have been lucky enough to see both the northern and southern auroras. i've seen the northern lights a couple of times on trips into canada and alaska. the southern lights i saw from the south island of new zealand. after i graduated from high school, i went to new zealand with a close friend of mine. we stayed with his dad and were there for over 4 months. best trip ever.
