I saw it last night (the perks of working in a video store) and I thought it was really good, you pretty much hit the nail on the head with your review.

And good news, the release date has been changed to Saturday so all of you people here in the USA can get it a few days early.

I wish they'd start from the beginning. I'd much rather pay to see that than the movies with that flat chested chick with huge nipples, Milla. Shit freaks me out everytime I see it.
And they always seem to make you have to see it somewhere in the movies.
Start from the beginning, make them 3D even. I'd pay for that. Tie the games in properly, yeah, but keep it mean and dirty.
RE2 would be like the Empire Strikes Back of the series, too. The good stuff.
