Planning on purchasing a Nintendo DS or DS Lite for Christmas? Well think twice about buying if you see an exceptionally good deal because hundreds of fakes have been seized in the UK alone.

Do the Fakes work the same as the originals? Are they better at handling homebrew?

Apparently not, according to this quote from the BBC article.

I'd say. Could make for a rather depressing (not to mention possibly flammable) Christmas Day surprise for some little (and not so little) tykes.
